Our History
[PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION]
The Columbia River Basin Chapter, Inc., (formerly Tri-Cities / Columbia Basin Chapter) was chartered in March 1994 as the first chapter in the Mid Columbia Basin area in Southeastern Washington State. We service an area from Moses Lake to Hermiston, and Yakima to Walla Walla.

The Chapter was recognized as New Chapter of the Year in 1994/95 and 1995/96 based on the success of our education program, the high rate of success in our Project Management Professional Certification results, and the sustainable growth of our membership. Additionally, the first Project of the Year awards were established in 1994 and our Chapter has recognized project management excellence since that time in multiple industries.

Today, our name change better reflects our region. Our focus remains on life-long learning objectives and sharing project management techniques in emerging application areas. We will continue our tradition of fostering excellence in project management principles and practices.
