Benefits of Joining CRBC
[PRINTER FRIENDLY VERSION]

Joining the Columbia River Basin Chapter of PMI?

Benefits include:

Face-to-face networking with peers that enhances PM skills by:
  • Comparing notes on specific issues both during a meeting and even afterwards (based on a relationship and common issues).
  • Connecting with others in the IT and other industries in our chapter
  • Value-added dinner programs ~9 times a year to hear what others are doing in the profession and being able to ask questions of the presenter. Members receive discounted dinner rates.
  • Exposure to areas and/or techniques used by others that you may not be using which can enhance your success in your job.
  • Volunteer opportunities in the chapter that provide a means to give to the profession and strengthen project management. It also provides Professional Development Units (PDU) which are required to maintain PMP certification.
  • Notices of Tri-Cities area PM classes that can also sharpen skills and earn PDUs. Most often, these include member discounts for courses.
  • Opportunities to participate in selected activities sponsored by the Chapter. An example is that a “scholarship” was awarded to two Chapter Members in the amount of $795 each to attend the PMI North American Global Congress to be held in Seattle, WA in October, 2006.

Just ask one of the PMI officers or sign up the easy way—online!
